The hand and wrist warm-up
Flex and stretch the wrists and fingers as if in a headstand position. This position should be held for approximately 10 to 15 seconds.
- Make a tight fist with both hands and hold it for 10 to 15 seconds.
- Bend your wrists down, keeping your fists tightly clenched and hold for 10 to 15 seconds.
- Straighten the wrists and relax the fingers. Hold this position for five to 10 seconds.
In addition to performing warm-up exercises, experts recommend that individuals who work long hours at computer terminals take frequent short breaks as a safeguard against developing conditions developed from repetitive wrist motions. Simply dropping your hands to your lap for just five to 10 seconds can be helpful.
